Role and Mandate of the Rwanda Tennis Federation

The Rwanda Tennis Federation  is a sports association recognized as a public utility organization under the  law of the Republic of Rwanda .It plays a pivotal role in advancing the sport of tennis across the nation. Our mandate encompasses a broad range of responsibilities aimed at fostering growth and excellence in tennis, para tennis, and beach tennis. Here are the key roles we undertake:

1. Developing Tennis: We are dedicated to nurturing talent and enhancing the sport’s popularity at all levels, from grassroots to elite play.

2. Promoting Wheelchair Tennis: Our commitment extends to supporting and developing para tennis to ensure inclusivity and opportunities for players with disabilities.

3. Supporting Tennis Clubs: We bring together affiliated tennis clubs across Rwanda by providing assistance and resources to help clubs thrive and effectively contribute to the sport’s growth and by fostering collaboration and unity within the tennis community.

4. Overseeing National Teams: We manage and support the national teams competing in prestigious events such as the Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup, and the Olympic Games, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to excel.

5. Organizing Tournaments: We are responsible for organizing both national and international tennis tournaments, providing competitive opportunities and showcasing talent on a broader stage.

Through these roles, the Rwanda Tennis Federation is dedicated to advancing the sport of tennis, building a strong and unified tennis community, and achieving international recognition for Rwandan tennis.
